What will your future hold...

Ever been sat there staring into space wondering what you’ll be doing in 3 years, 5 years, 10 years. Where you’ll be, will you be married, kids, career…

For as long as I can remember, Architecture has been my main driving force, my passion, the career I want to flourish in.

However, since starting this little thing, things have changed. This past year has truly been a world wind adventure, from attending copious amounts of gigs, getting two jobs off the back of my writing and having an interview published this month in a well known magazine.
It’s crazy to think all of the above sort of stemmed from this innocent little thing, an online diary. I never expected in my wildest dreams I would get 5 views, let alone 20,000.

However, it’s not about the hits. Although it continues to amaze me, the experience is what I strive to relish in. I love it when I see comments on a post or I see my name flash up on Facebook or Twitter, someone thanking me for my recommendations.

I must apologise, to anyone who used to read this everyday. I did it religiously throughout uni, maybe it was a way to stay connected to home. Since, it has been two months without writing a thing. I’m not over it, I’ve simply moved onto bigger, better things.

However, I don’t want this gem to vanish. After all, I owe it my all so there are a few tricks up my sleeve. From this month, I will hopefully be doing several interviews and exploring that field. I hope you’ll support me in my new journey.

Another new one, I have started blogging for an amazing company called Crypt Sessions, again, I would love for you to take a look and head over to their blog, which I now run. Come say Hi, I’d love to hear from you.

So, I guess the next thing is to give you a quick fire update on my crazy Summer, the best yet and I sort of have to keep pinching myself that I’m actually living my life like this.
First off, my weeks work experience at Wakestock was the best thing I’ve ever done. I met the most amazing people, watched live music and splashed in the mud. I won’t go into details but I met several artists, some of which will be doing the interviews with me in the next few weeks.

Following that, the week that followed was like come down central in my house. I missed the mud, I even missed working. I missed everyone I’d met for just a few days.
Thankfully, I didn’t have to wait long until my next festival, since I’ve done another and in just two days I’ll be traveling to the Isle of Wight for Bestival. With a first class line up of live music, art and everything else that the wonderful world of Bestival has lined up, it’s safe to say I’m ecstatic. I’m also sorta excited to experience living on a tour bus for five days!

Anyway, back to the month of July. If I can remember that far back. It was supposed to be our Summer. I’m not convinced.

So, I GRADUATED. I donned a cap and gown and celebrated in style with the most wonderful bunch of friends I’ve met over the years.

Four days later, I turned 21 and had the best night with my family and friends. I received copious bottles of champagne and a swish new phone, diamond necklace etc. I will spare all the nitty gritty. Incase you all become jealous! However, I may mention here, Lianne La Havas wished me a happy birthday!

Next, we were into August. We headed back to Abersoch, my second home and relished in the sunshine for a week on the beach. My idea of perfection. A few days working then it was off to another festival. This time, Green Man as a punter. Ooh I hear you say, well it was down right the best festival ever. The most amazing music. Oh, here I should add, The Staves played a song for me. Smug.

Next, I drove home with an hour to spare, jumped on a plane and flew solo to Palma. I lazed about in the sunshine with some precious people for three days before flying back for another festival.

Phew. A breathe of fresh air. I did two festivals and flew to Mallorca and back in a week. I felt like a rockstar, if only I could sing.

Fast forward a week and here we are. I’ve worked a hellish 17 hour shift, done three weddings and I am now currently sat in bed fully clothed having been out early, whilst my dog snores like a trooper at my feet.

Work in an hour for a meeting then I must unpack from the last three weeks as I have been living out of a rucksack. Standard.

Lastly I want to thank each and every one of you for reading.
Especially, the lovely Tanja for letting me loose on her very own blog for a few months and offering her readers some of my musical knowledge. It’s through blogging we’ve become friends and it’s amazing how much we share in common. It’s also at this point I will direct you over to her amazing blog, take a look – you won’t regret it.

That’s all for now folks,
I am sure I will update you with my adventures next week,
In the meantime, peace and love.

Hannah x
