Just me then…
Anyway, this last this week has been pretty damn crazy right?
I feel I’ve somehow single handedly predicted this week…
(Incase you’ve been in a bubble…) Last week, we celebrated the RETURN of Bowie. Yes, it was his, Nicolas Cage’s & Elvis’ birthday all in the same day and yes, Bowie made his return with Where Are We Now topping the download charts on iTunes within hours.
Then, Justin Timberlake announces his comeback, with a rather disappointing reaction to the Twittersphere exploding, simply, ‘Im ready’.
And as if that wasn’t enough, after spinning Destiny’s Child Christmas rendition of Rudolph, in a somewhat tribute to my youth, throwback Thursday’s delivers an absolute treat in the form of a comeback.
I bet Michelle was shouting to Beyonce half an hour before Justin’s supposed single dropped, Quick Bey, now’s the time.
I AM READY FOR THIS JELLY / I think it maybe possible to fit this weeks releases into the lyrics of Craig Davids 7 Days? It should be. Took Bowie for a drink on Tuesday, etc… (stolen, but too good not to include)
Oh and then there was the BRIT nominations! I can barely cope!
British Breakthrough Act - I’m calling this a ruddy tough call between Ben Howard, Jessie Ware, Alt J & Jake Bugg. Probabaly the two latter.
British Female - I’m favouring a hologram resurrecting Amy Winehouse, however failing that, Bat For Lashes.
British Group - Alt J, please barr your children from voting One Direction…
British Live Act - Rolling Stones
British Male - Ben Howard
Global Success - Too tough to call, deservedly Mumford/Adele but no doubt it’ll be One Direction…
British Producer - Jake Gosling – ‘cos I watched Ed Sheeran with him side of stage and he’s a pretty cool geezar.
British Single - Adele, Skyfall
Oh and one last thing, Daughter just announced details of their highly anticipated debut album, If You Leave, available in March... watch out for an album review ahead of release.
