Rae
Morris is an exceptional young singer-songwriter from Blackpool. Having learnt
piano from a young age, Rae stumbled across a voice, she never knew she had.
Expressing maturity way beyond her years.
Having finished her A levels, the
nineteen year old has since been writing and playing gigs, mainly around
Preston and Manchester. With music so raw and fresh with a talent so strong,
Rae Morris continues to grow from strength to strength.
Accompanying
her delectable vocals is her trademark delicate piano. Since leaving college,
Rae has spent the year embarking on support slots and landing several worthy
slots at festivals across the country this summer.
Currently
playing support to 'Fink' on their November European tour, Morris has
previously toured with the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Lianne La Havas and
Noah and The Whale.
September
saw Rae play her first headline London show at Cecil Sharp House, which was
completely sold out.
Today,
Morris announces the release of her new 3-track EP, 'Grow' on Atlantic Records.
Recorded between London and her hometown of Blackpool, the track is produced by
Ben Garrett, aka Fryars.
“Writing
and recording ‘Grow’ was quite a pivotal moment for me; both musically and
personally. It represents me leaving my teenage years and willing myself to be
less afraid of the person I am starting to become”.
Rae's debut album is currently in the works and
expected for release in 3013. However, fear not for the Grow EP is available
for purchase now and it's certainly not one to be missed!
