Day 192 of 365
Sunday 11/3/12
'Somebody that you talked to today' - my wonderful brother! I figure this maybe the first exclusive picture of the elusive DaisyDigital - sorry it's a funny one, don't judge me just yet!
Good afternoon.
How are you all?
I am feeling a little better today than yesterday. Unfortunately I don't feel I can share it with everyone on here, out of respect. I just want to say, don't take anything for granted. What happened this weekend took everyone by complete and utter shock and to tell you the truth I just can't stop thinking about it.
I've never been old enough to experience grief before now but this weekend has been a complete reality check. Unfortunately someone was taken way before his time and the pain its left is like nothing experienced before. For now, I just pray for family.
Keep your loved ones close.
You never know what's around the corner.
Anyway, I feel I need to talk about something a little more light hearted.
I have cried enough tears this weekend to last me a few years however, this weekend I have been out of the house, trying to take my mind off things. Obviously, it keeps wandering but...
So yesterday, after the initial shock of the news I had just received, my housemates whisked me off to the CIRCUS. Now, there's a first time for everything, I've never been to one before and yes, I was a little sceptical. Although, I was seriously contemplating leaving at the interval I am glad I didn't. The acts were brilliant and so was the entire show of 'The Netherlands Circus', luckily did the job in cheering me up.
A brilliant combination of theatre, music and dance. Acrobatics, illusion and lots of aerial feats, even if the flying trapeze did nearly give me a heart attack! However, the best bit... a 'clown' came into the audience and stared us straight in the eye, trying to avoid eye contact in fear of being whisked away to star in his next act I grabbed my phone. Unfortunately for my friend, he stared a little too long at the clown. Next thing, our friend was dressed head to toe in pink, tutu and rabbit ears and was prancing about to squeals and cheers from children who thought this was 'so funny'.
It wasn't just the children that found it amusing, it's safe to say he provided us with a lot of entertainment and I definitely think he found his forte.
I must add, thankfully, there were no animals as I definitely don't agree with that!
Unfortunately I didn't feel like taking my camera with me as it was a rushed decision to even leave the house.
So today has also been pretty nice.
My parents drove the hour and a half journey to see me, as a little surprise but it also came at a good time considering the events of the weekend. There is nothing worse than seeing my Mum when I am upset. As much as I love seeing her and there's nothing better than a big hug from her, to see her made me so upset. We cuddled and cried, that be that.
We did however all venture for some much needed lunch and by God it was good.
To my favourite restaurant in Leeds, Salvos. I got duck pasta and honestly, possibly the best meal I've ever had. I even got to bring home a tuppa wear box for lunch tomorrow!
Anyway, I am going to leave it there as I better attempt to sit down at my desk and stare long and hard at my computer screen. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a little better.
In the meantime, I hope you lovely lot had a great weekend.
Here's to another week.
Love
x
