Day 133 of 365

Wednesday 11/1/12

Good evening, how be you this fine day?
I am in a pretty good mood right now.
Feelin' fresh despite just getting in from another evening run.
Ran it a little bit faster tonight, stepping it up next week.

I am glad I have a friend to accompany me on these late evening runs, makes it that much easier!

Anyway... hope you all liked my fitness post last night?
Today, I am going to mix it up just a little bit more...

Back to music.

Ahh sweet music.
So, Monday was payday and what was the first thing I did?
Well, I bought a toothbrush but other than that, I got straight on the internet and booked some gig tickets.
One of the things I really want to do this year is attend as many live gigs as possible.
I am so stoked for March, I am going to the Civil Wars with my Dad at Shepherd Bush Empire down in London, I've always wanted to go to a gig there and who better to see! Now that's an exclusive, I have managed to keep it under wraps as it was a Christmas present from myself to my papa.

Soo... who else am I going to see?
The one and only Ben Howard, again, yes.
I cannot bloody wait.

And to top it all off, I managed to get tickets for hotly tipped soulful singer, Michael Kiwanuka. I have been a fan of his for a little while now and I am delighted that he's just won the BBC Sound of 2012. Following in the footsteps of female dominatrix winners of the past few years, including Ellie Goulding, Jessie J and Adele. All of which, I absolutely love and quite frankly, I cannot hear more of Michael in the following months.

Also, the other artists to listen out for in 2012 are; Lana Del Rey, Lianne la Havas, Dry The River, Ren Harvieu and Niki & The Dove - you heard it here first, or maybe you didn't... :)

So I thought I would include a fun little feature here.. for your ears only.

1. Band of Skulls - Bruises
2. M83 - Midnight City
3. Florence & The Machine - No Light, No Light
4. Sunday Girl - Where Is My Mind
5. The Black Keys - Lonely Boy
6. The Subways - It's A Party
7. The Civil Wars - C'est la Mort
8. Michael Kiwanuka - I Need You By My Side
9. James Vincent McMorrow - Higher Love
10. Yuck - Shook Down

My weeks playlist is 151 songs at present so I thought I'd select just 10, so as not to bore you immensely!

Hope you enjoy, ps. halfway there!
Partay time!
x
