Day 226 of 365

Saturday 14th April

So today, what is with the weather. I got up, it was sunny. Got dressed to go for lunch, raybans taking a firm place on the top of my head, walked into work looking like I'd just walked off the beach and it's hailing.
England weather I tell you. Infact, a funny taxi driver said to me, there was an English prime minister 100 years ago who said there are three things you cannot trust in England. All begin with 'w'. See if you can guess....

Okay, 1. Wealth - income and outcome of monies
2. Women - I do not agree believe it or not!
3. Weather.
I certainly agree with the last.

On another note, today I went for a lovely lunch with my best friend Anna who I hadn't seen in far too long.
You know the type of friend you can go without seeing for weeks/months yet when you do see eachother it's like you've never been apart. We live so close at home, round the corner in fact however, with me studying Architecture and Anna, the brainiac doing Medicine there is little time we get to fit in a social life.

Irrespective, we were both home and it was a date. A jolly good one at that.

Ah, yes then I had to quickly pop into work and help out with a table plan for an event and then I am back in a matter of hours. Sharing my time between the office and babysitting! Yes. Babysitting.
I am looking after some guests' children whilst everyone else has a right ole party.
I went over to their cottage yesterday, to introduce myself, they're staying in the grounds at work - we have several cottages for public/wedding parties. Luckily for me, the children seemed pretty cute. Although whilst I was walking out, the little girl looked around, at four years of age, 'Who was she. Why is she here.' I guess I'll have to try a little harder to make friends with her. The one downside, the cottages have no televisions, no internet and they're always cold 'cos I don't like to alter the heating when someone else is staying there.
I guess it'll have to just be work then! Hoping the children are fast asleep when I arrive.
Here's to a long night!
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far.
x
