Day 233 of 365

Saturday 21st April

Firstly I'd like to take this moment to publicly announce my love and apologies to my very close friend, Jenny who celebrates her 21st birthday today, 21st April, cool huh. Anyway, unfortunately I am stuck here, in the ever familiar room also known as the library. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Secondly, my friend was talking to me about music yesterday. As per usual. Nothing out of the ordinary until this happened. As soon as I heard it, I wanted to hear more, right away. Supporting Bombay Bicycle Club, my expectations were pretty high. With a favourite of mine, Lianne La Havas also touring with the Bombay boys, I hoped for something of the like.

>>Listen out for... Collectors Club.

It's pretty safe to say I found it in that of 'Collectors Club'.
Within the first 20 seconds I was tapping my foot, with a smile from ear to ear. These boys... where to start!
Not only do they look the part, it's hard to believe this group of extremely talented young men recorded their first demos in an attic. A year on and they've supported the likes of Pigeon Detectives & Mystery Jets. Undoubtedly climbing from strength to strength, it comes as no surprise that they were featured on the highly acclaimed BBC Introducing Stage at Scotland's T in The Park in July 2011. Since, they have received radio airtime on BBC Radio1 and released their debut single, 'First To Know' this month.

With strong influences apparent from the likes of The Libertines and timely classic, The Smiths, this six piece are sure to be gracing festivals and radio waves over the next coming months and rightly so.

If the above got you excited, you can view their excellent video for the above single here:
'First To Know' is available to download from Itunes now, I urge you to check them out.
