Day 34 of 365
I just got back from one of the best gigs ever. Michael McIntyre was bloody fantastic tonight, such a beautiful venue too, so small and intimate. I loved it. There was a woman on our row with the most horrific laugh you have ever heard, so much so that Michael dedicated a whole ten minutes to the laugh alone, imitating it perfectly and then getting the crowd to perform their own version. I will not bore you all by reciting my favourite jokes as I hate it when people try to be funny when they're not. I for one, am not funny at all.
I have never seen a comedian live before, however I enjoyed it so much I am now watching his DVD. Anyway, I am determined not to make a blog post on comedy as I know it's probabally a have to be there kinda thing. All I will say is the following - 1) If you are ever in Leeds, go to the City Varieties, I walk past everyday but have never been there before now, I can highly recommend, a brilliant little venue tucked away in the heart of a vibrant city - 2) Self explanatory - Go see Michael McIntyre - He is brilliant at accents, impersonations and just generally hilarious.
Always laugh when you can, it is cheap medicine.
So, I hope you're all well - I have had a busy day today, I went into Uni and had my first lecture of the year, quite interesting however I felt myself starting to flag during the 209th slide of the powerpoint presentation! I then had the dreaded dissertation to come to terms with, luckily it was good feedback.
I fully intended to do a lot of work today but sadly, not much came of that, I hate computers and technology at times, there are far too many distractions, then when I do finally get something done, bang, there it goes, gone in an instant - I must learn to save my work.
So, I am currently sipping an extra strong coffee, as I mentioned yesterday the caffiene and early mornings will become my best friends in the upcoming months. For now, I have a few pages to complete for the presentation on Thursday, yes insects are the topic of conversation.
Considering I went to see a comedian tonight I feel this blog is lacking in entertainment purposes. For that, I am truly sorry!
PS. I just looked and I am oh so close to the 500 mark meaning I have had 100 reads so far this week, I didn't actually imagine anyone read this - to anyone who does, I thank you and again, apologies for the lack of entertainment. I figure it must get boring reading about work and uni all a while.
PPS. I wore a scarf and my winter coat for the first time today, Winter is upon us. Not sure how I feel about the matter, it's a confusing time for all involved, next there will be Halloween.
Oh gad.
Night
x
