Day 41 of 365
Good evening. Not had a great day today, hoping yours has been a whole lot better than mine. To start with, I hope the sun shined wherever you may be and that you weren't enduring a 2 hour lengthy technological study lecture. Forgive me if I am wrong but 201 slides on a presentation at 10am doesn't happen to be a great idea does it now Mr. tutor.
Regardless, I plodded along. Again, it rained - I love winter but I hate rain, I wish it was a crisp Autumn day, not a drab rainy day, everything feels worse sprinkled with rain.
So, the good news is that I am currently searching through thousands of pictures from the weekend and no, I am not exaggerating, there are literally 1070 photographs. Wow. I sympathise with the photographer.
In other news, has anyone had the unfortunate dilemma of late, relating to Blackberry of course. It is so annoying, I thought it was my phone, coming to the end of its life but no, just a whole global shut down, thanks Blackberry, RIM- much appreciated.
Anyway, I am currently sat at my desk. Coffee, check. Cider, check. Squares of joy, check. One thing left, some music. After much deliberation as to what I am going to listen to next, having gone through most of my iTunes library on my new computer, I have decided it's time to catch up on the radio. I miss listening. There was a time not so long ago, I didn't go into Uni much during the week so I sat at my desk, my only company came from the voices of the radio. I felt like I had become best friends with all the presenters, some days I would listen for days, literally, some days I wouldn't have slept and it would be 10am again.
There came a time I knew this had to stop, that was when at 4am I would race to text in for the first text of the early breakfast show, at 6.30am I would be singing along to the breakfast jingle. Times were hard being an architecture student. Coffee, radio and my computer were my three best friends.
My bed, became the enemy.
Those days quickly disappeared once I finished for summer however, after 4 months of my body rebuilding itself, sleeping for more than three hours a night and drinking more than just coffee, sadly the time has come around again, this time it's arrived quicker than ever.
So, I figure you guys think I am just another student complaining about work which doesn't amount to anything once I get into the real world. Well, I beg you to consider me, little me, sleep doesn't come easy right now.
I have completed a sheet tonight, I have 4 to go until bed time. That one sheet alone has taken the upmost of 5 hours. You do the maths.
So after all that babble and feeling sorry for myself I guess I should share some good things with you for today, after all - I wouldn't want you going to bed feeling smug now would I.
So here goes, take a look - see what you think. For security reasons and all that jazz I have only selected photos where you cannot see peoples faces so unfortunately they may not be that interesting but hopefully you get the gist of what a fun weekend I had. Man, I wish I could go back, lucky for me, if I get all my work done in time, I will be back on Sunday.
