Day 48 of 365

I figure I spend my life telling you lovely lot how tired I am, wallowing in self pity.
So irrespective of the fact I am going to be up late, again with just coffee and my pen as my company, I will enlighten you with my delightful day.

The weather was again, horrid. I wish it would just stay real cold and crisp, rain go away, you're neither use nor ornament. Anyway, I slept in this morning, missed my lectures although intentional as I was going on a site visit to a primary school that has received an RIBA award, for those who are fortunate not to have Architecture on the brain 24/7 in normal language that means a fancy award given to a building of outstanding architectural quality, or something along those lines.

So, off we went. Given we got a little lost and skipped a red light - don't worry I wasn't driving, we finally arrived. Let's set one thing straight, this school was awesome. If I had gone to a primary school of that calibre I am sure I would be a genious. When we walked in we were hit with the delicious waft of baking. Yes, the kiddies were making cheese straws in food tech. Yum. Anyway, something really funny happened. The headteacher, jolly lady she was - anyway she was showing us around on a tour. Next thing, she's talking about this great design that you can access the outside from every classroom and as she opens the door she hits a little kiddiewinkle and sends him flying halfway across the playground. Bless him. We couldn't help but laugh. It was also funny how we were followed almost everywhere by a little gathering of small feet. Trying to grab our hands at any given opportunity. It was pretty cute although I was there for one thing and one thing only and it certainly didnt include babysitting children.

Anyway, after a very informative tour we were left to our own devices, took a few photographs and headed back home. I must add, I hate rush hour traffic. It's worse than rain.

In the meantime, I have so much work to do and I am going to see the wonderfully talented Mr. Ben Howard tomorrow night so I am prepared to stay up to an unheard hour in order to have fun tomorrow night so I guess that's my cue.

I hope you're all well.

Night
x
