Day 47 of 365
Today I went on my site visit.
I am so very tired but I will attempt some sort of recollection of my days events, boring as it may be, for that I apologise. Hope you're all well.
Let us start with the weather. It was rubbish. After a morning of wandering the streets and canals of Manchester we stopped off for some much needed lunch. In true Manchester fashion the heavens opened just as we were heading back out. After attempting to climb a fence in order to catch a good shot of my chosen site I decided the best option was to stick my camera through a tiny fence, precariously positioned so as not to fall.
With so much space to play with there we split into groups in order to map the site effectively. This didn't last too long and resulted in another coffee break shortly after. Generally, a day filled with nice food, good company and lots of coffee breaks. A little bit of Architecture added, debatable.
So, everyone went back on the train but I stayed around for a bit and waited to meet my friend Anna. After a mild confusion involving a taxi ranch and me running alongside her car we were finally reunited. It had been far too long. I had a lovely evening. So much so that I very very nearly missed my train, hopping on just as the warning signal beeped and the doors shut.
Anyway, I am absolutely cream cracked following a full day out.
I have another site visit to look forward to tomorrow, this time more locally and at a new primary school. I shall be sure to take some photos for you to have a sneaky peak at.
In the meantime, hope your Monday wasn't too bad.
