Day 22 of 365
I am nearly there, again, apologies for being awful - I'm sure no one reads this everyday but I did make a promise to myself and whoever reads this I would update everyday so here goes, my apology, accepted?
So... where are we? Ah, there, I got it - Thursday 22nd September. Ah, It's actually considerably harder than I thought to recall my adventures day by day, well that is when I fail of course and play catch up. Hmm... brains ticking, come on what on earth did I do yesterday.
Maybe nothing interesting... still thinking. Ah yes, I know. I went to University for my introduction, probably why I forgot, I had to get up super early after a night out, thank goodness for the fact I have outgrown by horrid hangovers. I was feeling rather chipper and pretty excited about the year ahead, well - I was also pretty nervous, anxious and damn right scared at the prospect that this time next year I will have a job. Well, I hope.
So basically there are three options for this year, we can chose to be in any of three groups so there we sat through a very long presentation compromising of each tutor trying to sell us their project. I must admit it was a tough decision, do I go with my gut instinct on a project I am really interested in but I feel I may not enjoy as much or do I go with the group from last year with all my housemates? I contemplated this for quite a while, thought I'd got it then came the deciding factor, the trips were mentioned. Germany, London or Istanbul. Not that I'm a fickle foe or anything, just you know...
No, basically I chose the group I thought would benefit me most, the one I would enjoy, could seek help from peers and housemates so - I'm also off to Germany for a week. It's in five weeks but I'm already excited. Must admit, tutors are pretty strange and are calling it an 'Invasion'. Make of that what you will, all I know is that our last trip was certainly that, we went to Amsterdam for 4 nights need I say more.
Yes, so we then went for lunch at the Student Union, decided to eat our hangovers off with a carb overload - a giant yorkshire pudding with chips and gravy - sound good? Well it sure tasted good. I then had to go back to Uni to find out what groups we were in, we had to chose by preference and luckily I got my first choice, as did my friends so we're all in the same group and off to Germany together.
I also got some more good news, I don't start Uni 'til next Thursday, another perk to joining that group, I don't think the tutors could really be bothered making the scheduled Monday tutorials! We've been told to bring an origami model and a passport photo to our next meet, intriguing. Maybe I'll share with you once completed, the model I mean - unfortunately won't be showing you any passport photography, for now and the immediate future I remain as 'The Stig', the unknown Avatar - of course to those who don't know me already!
Right, well tried to get an early night again last night, seems harder than I thought, I guess I'm not used to my room just yet and that ruddy church bell going off every hour is starting to bug me.
In other news, how is everyone? I'm hoping this finds you well and that I'm not boring you too much. What's the weather like? Anyone else find the temperature dropping every so quickly, brrr chilly times in Leeds. Winter coat time soon, I bought a gorgeous one if I may say so, I kinda want it to go cold just so I can wear it, and embrace the winter months.
Sod Autumn however Bonfire night is kinda cool, although last year I had a bit of confrontation at the fairground, something I may tell you all about one day, just not quite yet!
It's nearly Friday, have you got that premature Friday feelin'? Hoping so!
Goodnight x
