Day 23 of 365
Wahoo, why hello there lovely people. I am now finally, up to date with blogging. I will try not to let that happen, it was looming over me like a black cloud, a little voice inside me saying you haven't updated the blog, failure.
Kinda.
Anyway... today I got up even earlier than yesterday, super duper early for a student. I practically saw the milkmen delivering. Not. But yeah, early. Anyway, I was up early to help out at Freshers Fair. It's where we get a hall, cram as many tables in there, fill it with sports teams and ask them to try get people interested in joining a sports team. Add a few free things, goodie bags, a transvestite and a few people in morph suits and you got yourselves a freshers fair, Leeds style.
No, I did not dress up as a man or in a morph suit, I was merely me, me myself and I. Well, not really as I was with two housemates but yeah, we were normal. Questionable of course but hey enough of that. So what's my new sport I hear you ask? Well, let me tell ya. It's WAKEBOARDING. Yeah you heard.
I'm ever so excited, can you tell? I was just helping out set up, only stayed an hour but it was long enough to get some freebies and discount cards! So, with the wakeboarding, we're going away on a sort of bonding weekend filled with wakeboarding, music and chilling. Sounds pretty good to me. BBQ and Alcohol also a must.
So, got home pretty shattered, again so decided to tuck up into bed at midday - yes I am truly adapting back into student life, fully clothed an all. I guess I must have fallen into a deep sleep as I awoke to an unfamiliar man at my door. Scary, well not so - he was our electrician and had apparently been shouting up for a while with no reply. That was 'cos I was home alone.
After that, me and the girl in the downstairs flat decided to opt for a well known chicken restaurant, starts with N, ends with S. Yeah, the best. You know it. We got a feast. We ordered so much and it was soo good. Simply, no regrets.
Tonight I've been trying to get my room sorted, there's still a few finishing touches to be made tomorrow but all in all, looking pretty chipper I must say. Starting to feel more and more like home, still hacking the internet though and without a television until Wednesday!
From the above... to the below
For the record, you're never too old for the above
I've also been attempting to finish my dissertation but not got very far, everytime I type I feel my eyes close, head drop and a shudder. I need to have it finished, would help if I knew what I was writing about, so many ideas but need to focus.
I guess I'll get there. Please not a late night on Sunday though, maybe an early Monday as it's due in at 12pm. I will update you even though I'm sure there are greater things happening in life, for that I apologise.
Watched something pretty funny today on iPlayer. It was the new comedy, 'Fresh Meat' I think it's called. If you're a like minded student or wanting to relish in student life give it a go, not completely sold yet but I'm willing to let it work it's magic by giving it a second chance.
So it's Friday, I guess you're wondering what on earth I'm doing sat in my room, writing a dissertation, generally being anti-social and not going out, especially being freshers week but to tell you the truth, my whole house are doing the same. We're simply becoming too old.
Sad times but, hopefully I'll catch up on sleep soon, or else next week when this hand in is over. In the meantime, I hope you're all out - having a great night and enjoying your weekend. If not, I feel your pain.
Much love
x
