Day 30 of 365
So September has been and nearly gone, as it slips away let's hope the sunshine stays. I have had the perfect day. My friend, the sunshine and of course the dog in tow. After prising myself out of a warm bed super early this morning I questioned what on earth I was doing setting off early. I resembled a newborn with squinted eyes and hair all over the show, us students are not used to the early mornings.
Sit down, chill out, feel the sun on your skin.
After a minor dilemma regarding a poorly sick dog we were on our way, the sun glaring and the music blasting, man I love driving when the weather is nice. I love having independence. Texting my friend the night before, shall we go to the beach tomorrow. Why not, after two and a bit hours we arrived to a lovely seaside village, my second home, my favourite place. A couple of locals hanging about, a few dogs and a handful of children. We grabbed some much needed breakfast and had a good old chatter before grabbing our lunch to take away and eat in a couple of hours on the beach.
Although the sun was out unfortunately it was a bit cloudy, it caught me a little off guard as I was far too excited this morning and dressed in my summer attire, wishful thinking. Food, sun, sea and sand - what a dream. We ate copious amounts of food, indulged in a hot chocolate with a mountain of cream and scoffed chocolate malteasers like they were going out of fashion, they were falling all over the floor as we hurriedly opened the packet! We blamed it on the heat, wouldn't want them to melt now would we!
We got a good deal, didn't have to pay for parking as it was 'out of peak season'. After a lovely relaxing day we got a little too comfortable and the thought of the drive home was like a grey cloud hanging above. Jen fell asleep pretty much as soon as I turned on the engine, as did the dog so it was me and my music for the journey. Luckily, she awoke - my friend Jen, not the dog. I think we tired him out. He passed out pretty quickly.
The jellyfish came out to play, irony.
So what's everyone been up to? Oh yeah, forget to tell you something yesterday - you know that collar I bought, you know Sunday Girl I always ramble on about, well she tweeted me to say it was a great buy and she liked it! There we go, my little glimpse of glamour.
In other news, I came across a pretty cool thing today.
'Calling all young bloggers! If you're over 18, have a beauty, fashion or lifestyle blog and want it to be seen by thousands of people, you can apply to be part of the blog boudoir'.
What was I waiting for, I had to apply. No hesitations, this could be amazing. Fingers, toes and everything else crossed, I would really love to be in with a chance for this amazing opportunity.
Tomorrow I am going to relax with Mum. I have some uni work to do too, busy week ahead of me next week. I can't bloody wait. I will let you know what I have planned, maybe tomorrow.
In the meantime, I hope you're all having a great Friday - here's to the weekend!
Night
