Day 161 of 365

Wednesday 8/2/12

Good evening.
How are you all.
I have just about defrosted.
Brrr... it's blooming freezing out there.

So we survived Liverpool, just about!
We all managed to get home safely, albeit at 4.30am.
However, one mishap did occur.
I lost my phone.
Thankfully for a mere 20minutes until some lovely person handed it in, however mild panic did set in.

Anyway, today.
Woke up feeling rather fragile but thanks to my amazing Momma we got to have an extra lie in.
Met up with the rest of the group and headed off for our first stop of the site visit.
First up it was LIPA. The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. What a cool place.
As if set up, as soon as we walked in there were a group of about five girls singing as they walked down the corridor. Set up and co-founded by Sir Paul McCartney himself, it's a brilliant institution.
If only I could sing or dance or both for that matter.
Or play an instrument... I wish.

So, following this we took a trip to the Anglican Cathedral, I am told Liverpool is the only city to house two cathedrals on the same street, however, a little birdie told me that one so don't hold me to it.
Next up it was the Albert Docks however, by this time, hungover had hit and damn hard.
Lunch time twas and then we lost the group. Luckily, we managed to find them once more and were shown around what I can only describe as a building site. It is meant to be our inspiration to rejuvinate Liverpool, however...

I am not so sure.
Apart from the fact I couldn't see over the walls at first glance, the place was kinda empty. A void that seems to have been somewhat neglected, to say the least.
So, what do I design.
I haven't the foggiest.
That will come with time.
In the meantime, it's Wednesday.
Hell yeah it is.

That means it's nearly the weekend.
Right now, I am so tired.
I am currently attempting to compile some background research for tomorrow but not getting very far. Instead I am busy procrastinating of course, what else.

Anyway, enough of the jibber jabber.
Music to my ears.

Today, I introduce to you.... Alt J.
No not this... △
Much more than a computer command. It's a brilliant new band, I urge you to read on and take a listen, maybe let me know what you think. They had me captivated on first listen. I literally love their music.
Soft guitar and bluesy vocals, plus they're from Leeds. What more could you want... (Don't answer that one!)

Okay, so I first heard their song Tessellate a couple of weeks back now. I was left wanting more and as if answering my prayers my radio waves are now filled with this beaut of a song. Enjoy

Alt J - Matilda

Peace
