Day 168 of 365

Wednesday 15/2/12

Well that was an experience, a positively hilarious one at that.
Zumba class.
Have you done it?
It's brilliant.
I loved it, although I resembled an old granny attempting to find rhythm in my rigid body.
Unfortunately, I have yet to grasp the steps, man they go so quick.
At first, the instructor told new comers to laugh their way through the class.
Well we sure did.
I think our aim was to gain stomach muscles by laughing rather than attempting to tone during the class.
My favourite routine was the cool down, slowly dancing away to a Motown classic, is that bad?

So anyway, how are you all?
I am really tired.
For some reason I decided after Zumba it would be a good idea to run home, given it's only a mile.
Well, what I forgot was that it was all uphill. Bad times. I then went in the bath and panicked slightly as I remembered I had only brought a hand towel, too bad my room involves a flight of stairs and the fact my housemates were both in meant I had no option to do a naked dash as I like to call them.

I won't go into too much detail but it involved precariously placed hand towels of all sorts I could muster up. Phew, made it unnoticed, thank God.

Anyway, what has today brought me.
Well, I think I was still incredibly full from our Valentines feast last night however, admittedly after turning off several alarms and relying way too heavily on my snooze button I decided to hop in a taxi and venture to the studio. So, today has mainly been spent, cutting, gluing and sanding.
I did make a big mistake, I chose the day we were in the workshop all day, to wear black skinnies.
Resulting in a lot of comments about how I had sat in something. Truth is, I had just been rubbing up against a wooden table all day, with sawdust flying everywhere. Attractive to say the least.

Hope your day has been thrilling.
More than mine.
Well, saying that, I can't really complain, I guess I did chose the course and I got to see my best friend again and laugh hysterically during our attempts at Zumba.

All in all, a good day.

So, music time.
Decisions, decisions. Maybe I will carry this on for the whole of February and then maybe a photo a day for March, i saw something that was a Feb Photo a day however, unfortunately I am not one to start things half heartedly so maybe I will adapt for March.

Well, since I am going to my first Michael Kiwanuka gig on Sunday I figure I ought to introduce you to The Staves, whom I believe are his support. I cannot wait. I love these girls.

Three sisters from Watford and what an incredible sound they produce.
Flawless, acoustic sounds, check them out.
Song for today The Staves - Icarus.

Plus, this video is taken from their performance in TX, opening for none other than The Civil Wars.
Enjoy
