Day 165 of 365

Sunday 12/2/12

Right about now I am in my element.
I've had such a lazy day and to top it off, I am lying in bed watching the Grammy's.
One screen is the Civil Wars holding 4 Grammys... amazing.
The other, directors cut/red carpet so I get to see all the cute dresses.

So how are we all?
It's been a busy day today.
I mean, in front of the television.
There's been so much going on.

Before that though, I must not forget to mention a true legend.
Sadly taken from us, way before her time. The last year or so has left me numbed by the loss of many greats such as Amy Winehouse and this has just added to that pain, felt by many across the globe. Etta James, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse, there's sure gonna be a good girl group up there.
Today, we lost a true diva. Fitting, I shall leave this tribute to my favourite diva Beyonce ...

"The loss of Whitney Houston is painful. I remember meeting Whitney for the first time when I was 15. She was the ultimate legend. The ultimate woman. Not only was she confident, poised, stunningly beautiful and intelligent, but she was sincere and kind. She took the time to make everyone feel like they were very important to her. I, like every singer, always wanted to be just like her. Her voice was perfect. Strong but soothing. Soulful and classic. Her vibrato, her cadence, her control. So many of my life's memories are attached to a Whitney Houston song. She is our queen and she opened doors and provided a blueprint for all of us.

God bless her."

- Beyoncé

On a more positive note however, today has been brilliant for one lovely lady, who I know, admired Whitney. That is none other than, Elsie.
You remember, I reviewed her single, Stereophonics cover - Dakota a little while back.
Well today, after what feels like ages, Elsie' hugely anticipated debut EP hit Itunes.
I woke up and immediately logged onto my trusty account and picked up a copy. It makes me smile, knowing how hard this girl has worked for this moment. After seeing her all those years ago, I really do feel 2012 will be the year of Elsie.
So, what are you waiting for...

Come on, it's only a mere £1.79. It's the best thing since sliced bread, infact it's around the same price.
Do it.
Don't be a dingbat.

Anyway, song for today...
I feel it has to go to the wonderful Elsie.
My favourite sing along song at the moment.

Elsie - The Assassin (Bang Bang)

Released today.
Enjoy
