Day 170 of 365
Friday 17/2/12
Apologies, I have had no internet at home so I am going to be a few days late uploading the following blog posts over the next few days, hold tight!
So today, I took my brother for lunch, bumped into my old product design teacher, did a bit of networking and then my wonderful Mummy booked and paid for me to get my hair done. Different, slightly shorter, healthier looking and fuller, I like it, a lot. I like being home!
I have had the same person do my hair since I was 10. I remember it to the day, the first time I got my hair done. My 10th birthday, I got it straightened for the first time, I was in my Mum's soft top Karmann Ghia, I had this amazing new hair, I had a new hawaian print surfer hat and the best bit, I was listening to SClub full blast, the sun was shining and I felt a million dollars.
Talking of music, I figure you probably have guessed I have developed a unhealthy obsession since starting this blog. Infact, If I could wish for one thing in the world it would be a voice.
I have had my fair share of singing lessons, my Dad was in a band and my favourite past time is trawling Youtube stumbling across new music.
I have the makings of a musician, just without the musical abilities.
I have a super cute ukulele staring at me. I kinda just like staring at 'it' wishing I pick it up and strum more than a mere 'smoke on water'.
So instead, I blog about music, I annoy my housemates and friends everywhere I go, humming and singing, or attempting to. I hope you don't mind me blogging about music. I try to mix it up a little however, always find myself referring to yet another brilliant song I urge you to all hear.
Today, a song I can't help but sing along to everytime it comes on the radio or tv of late.
The brilliantly talented PJ Harvey - The Last Living Rose.
If like me, you love female vocalists I guarantee you'll like PJ Harvey, having sung with the likes of Bjork, need I say more.
Enjoy
