Day 109 of 365

Sunday 18/12/11

Good morning.
Feeling a little fragile.
I am currently on a very early morning train on our way to London for the holiday festivities to commence.

So last night turned out really well. I had a great time. Basically, lucky for me I met two lovely girls who I spent the night with and after making friends with the bar man it was free drinks all night including a bottle of champagne for me and my new friends!

Just as we were leaving the wedding, to go downstairs into the night club area, the police arrived. Suddenly I felt like a naughty school girl attempting to sneak into a club underage. Well I kinda was, bar the school girl image.

The club area was over 21s so unfortunately being only 20, I was going to have to make a dash for it, that was until my taxi arrived. Seems I had lost track of time and cut the night short due to the taxi driver sat outside.

So today we are meeting some friends in St Pancras station - Under the Lego tree at midday. I am a little bit excited.

Good evening,
We have just arrived at our hotel.
Today has been lovely albeit chilly.
Firstly we met up with our friends and headed on the underground over to a place called Southbank. For anyone who's not familiar with this area, it's my favourite place in London, it's always bustling and full of things to do, just by the River Thames and lots of street acts populate the busy tree lined walkways.

It's not too far from the London eye and a great place for looking out across London.
Whilst here we went to the Southbank Centre, a fabulous arts centre. Here, we watched a choir sing Christmas songs and grabbed some food in the nearby Market stalls. The food is divine, all organic and fresh. Posh burgers :)

Next up we had the famous snow show. For anyone who has not been or is not aware, this is a must see around Christmas time. It was our first time but hopefully we will be going back next year, it was simply brilliant. It's called Slavas Snow show for anyone wanting to look it up. I will be uploading some pictures shortly. Sneaky pictures I may add, there were no cameras allowed in the venue however I managed a few sneaky snaps. For your eyes only hey!

As the name suggests, we were covered in a fake snow, consisting of ripped tissue paper. Much to the restaurants dismay. As we sat down for dinner, emptying our coat pockets and hoods, covering the floor and leaving a trail wherever we went.

Next stop, the german Market stalls that line Embankment at this time of year.
Christmas songs blaring - a clear nights sky and the lights shimmering on the river, perfection.

So I figure this has turned into a mighty fine long and dragging blog post so I am going to love you and leave you. Plus, we have an early start tomorrow, it's time for Christmas shopping.

Hope all is well,

Good night
x
