Day 95 of 365
Sunday 4/12/11
You've all seen the hangover right?
Well here in our flat, we are recreating many of the scenes from that movie. Right here, right now.
For one, I stumbled downstairs this morning wiping my blurry eyes, before them I can only describe utter devastation. Glasses, mugs, saucepans, shot glasses, bottles, you name it.
Sticky floor from spilt wine and the beloved cushions of the floor covered in a red sticky substance.
Cards, strewn across the floor.
Uhoh.
After everyone rose, I was entertained by the many stories being told, luckily none about me - I guess that's the good thing about being sober - no embarrassing stories to follow the next day. In true hangover day style the girls decided for a fast food lunch so I went along for the ride and got some food of course. Half way around the drive through and my heart sank a little when I realised I had not brought a house key and was just in my pyjamas, as was my housemate. Our other housemate was in Wales.
In the downstairs flat, one was working, the other, nowhere to be found.
When I say nowhere to be found, I am not exaggerating. Not answering the phone, no evidence of coming home last night and definitely not in her bed.
One last hope was that the other flat mate from downstairs (with whom we share the front door with) had brought a key. Oh no, you guessed it - she didn't.
So, after all my intentions of staying in, having an early night and having a productive working day today, none of the above is apparent.
After a couple of hours, Emily emerged - she had stayed at a friends and thankfully, she had a key.
Tonight I watched a night with Beyonce.
Instantly regretted the chocolate bar I just inhaled.
Wow that woman.
Only her could make a snot bubble sound hot.
If you did not get the chance to watch it you will be wondering what the hell I am going on about, basically she gets real hot on stage and apparently has a runny nose.
Enough of that, always one to lower the tone.
If you have not been lucky enough to see Beyonce perform, I urge you to do so at the next available opportunity. Hats off, one of the best if not the best performers of our time.
Incredible.
I am now going to wallow in self pity whilst I touch down with reality and remember I have a lot of work to be getting done.
Goodnight
x
