Day 120 of 365
Thursday 29/12/11
Well good afternoon you lovely lot.
Actually, how do I know you're lovely... maybe 'cos of the views, for that I thank you.
Still not quite sure who in their right mind reads this but I treat it as an online journal between me, myself and I. You guys are a bonus, so hello. Wherever in the world you may be I am smiling sweetly and waving into a fairly standard, blank looking computer screen.
I forgot to mention something the other day.
You know I said we went for a meal?
It turned out to be a very expensive yet fun night.
I won't tell you the bill but if I could have snapped a photo you would have laughed.
The price spent on drinks was over double of that spent of alcohol.
Considering we had only 11 adults including me I think that's a pretty solid effort.
Not until our eyes scanned the bill, frantically counting on one, no two hands - 14 vodka red bulls...
The bad thing? None of these were ordered by us adults, uhoh. Kids hey.
Youth of today, I mean, come on :)
Never have I ever, during my three years of university experienced drinking habits like I did that night though. May I add I was out with my parents and their friends. Limoncello. My new favourite drink but I am not so sure what my views are of snorting this substance, which may I add is a drink before you get thinking anything else.
So basically, after ordering 14 shots of this I started to worry a little when our friend began pointing at his watch and telling us to count to 2 minutes. 'Mouthwash'. The aim of the game, to hold this liquor in your mouth whilst swishing up, down, round and round for 2 minutes. Unfortunately I didn't join in for much longer than 20seconds however, I am told you cannot feel your lips, teeth or mouth for that matter for a good while after. Don't try this at home kids.
Next up, an upturned wine glass.
Again, looking slightly confused I gazed on with amusement.
A substantial amount of Limoncello was poured on the base of the glass, what happened next can only be described as astonishing from a bunch of 40plus aged men.
Snorting limoncello that's what.
Anyway, enough of that... also we bumped into Marv and Rochelle. You know those famous singers, JLS and the Saturdays? Maybe you don't. Anyway, they were in the same restaurant, however they managed to escape just as we were being led to our table. Lucky escape I would say. We resembled chimps in a zoo, given our own room with curtains open facing the rest of the diners. Apolgies for anyone there.
So today. It's 29th December. Christmas day feels like weeks ago now.
Tonight it's my best friends surprise 21st birthday.
What to wear.
I also have more family coming round today.
You must think I have a big family.
Truth is I don't, I've seen this motley crew three times in a week, probabally more than I usually see them in a year!!
I really need to upload all my photos.
I promise by the end of tonight I will do so.
Back to Uni work I go.
Peace
x
