Day 116 of 365
Sunday 25/12/11
Merrry Christmas everybody!
What a lovely day it has been.
I forgot how excited I get for Christmas.
Some things never grow old, somethings like waking up at 4am to see a full stocking at the end of my bed.
I did however force myself back to sleep after looking at the clock, figuring it's not quite normal for a 20year old to wake her parents and younger brother up this early...
I still had to jump on the brothers bed as he was still flat out at 9am!
9am, i hear you cry... yes! That's a lie in at best, criminal on Christmas Day.
I wonder if my parents wish I would grow up so they wouldn't be half awake, hair resembling scarecrows, grunting at every present I rip open...
Not in my household. My mum jumped on my brother with me... she's as excitable as me!
Not so sure about my poor Dad though.
I have the most amazing parents.
Remember Sunday Girl? Did I tell you she collaborated with FireTrap, a clothing make to design some uber cool shirts and stuff? Well basically, it all sold out within two weeks. I have desperately been trying to get a hold of one of these shirts since they released them. I've tried Leeds, Manchester, London. No kandoo. I even spoke to Sundaygirl who said she had tried to get a hold of one but even she couldn't get one.
Then, I opened one of my last presents and take a guess what it was.
Amazing.
Anyway, as I said, it's also my Grandads birthday today, the grand ole age of 77.
So, for the first time in as long as I can remember, we had the whole of that sides family around for Christmas dinner. 13 in total. Poor Mum was full of cold but you couldn't tell. The food was of course, amazing.
We managed to wipe clean a large turkey and a turkey crown. No turkey sandwiches for tea.
Following dinner i decided to exhibit my love of photography, much to my cousins dismay.
Everybody gathered around the tree, tripod set up, everyone in place, self timer on and there was me, running back and forth with ten seconds to spare before the flash.
We had several attempts, hoping to get an action shot, party poppers in hand.
Unfortunately it proved harder than imagined.
The last attempt came with an awful lot of pressure for my Uncle.
A party bomb.
What can only be described as an indoor fire work.
Unfortunately despite us all shouting exactly when to let it off, he completely missed.
Finally, as you can imagine, after a lot of restless groans from children who were far too cool for this, we finally managed to get an action shot.
Hurray.
So what more...
Charades of course.
So I wish you lovely lot the very best.
Merry Christmas
Here's to family, friends and happiness.
Peace
